From the overall situation of steel price changes in the domestic market, the steel composite price index dropped to 93.34 at the end of January and 94.18 at the beginning of this year, the lowest point since this year; it has risen month by month since February, reaching its highest price since this year at the end of June, with the index reaching 114.85, up 20.67 points, or 21.95% from the beginning of the year; and it has risen to 93.34 at the end of July and August. In September, it rose again, reaching 106.43 at the end of October, down 8.42 points, or 7.33 percent, from its peak at the end of June, and up 12.25 points, or 13.01 percent, from 94.18 at the beginning of this year. Generally speaking, the price of steel in domestic market tends to be stable and fluctuating slightly.

　　Generally speaking, the price trend of steel pipe in domestic market is basically the same as that of the whole market and steel pipe. The differences are as follows: First, the price change of steel pipe tends to be more stable. Take the price index of 159*6 hot-rolled seamless pipe as an example, 112.76 points at the beginning of this year, 114.23 points at the end of April, the highest point since this year, up 1.3% from the beginning of this year, the lowest point since late October 107.24, down 4.9% from the beginning of this year. Second, compared with other steel products, the price of steel pipe is running at a higher price, but the gap is not at all. The price index of hot-rolled seamless pipe 159*6 was 112.76 at the beginning of the year, 19.42 points higher than the steel composite price index and 20.3 points higher than the steel plate price index. At the end of October, it was only 0.81 points higher than the steel composite price index and 5.59 points lower than the plate price index. The trend, which fell to 107.24 at the end of October, is the lowest since this year, down 6.99 points, or 6.12%, from 114.23 at the end of April.
